Plans for the 2022 Hamfest are on hold for now. We are hoping to hold an outdoor tailgate later in the spring if we can not hold our traditional event. The Armory is not available and North Charleston is enforcing onerous business licensing rules at other venues.
The 47th annual Charleston Hamfest and ARRL State Convention was held on Saturday, 1 February 2020 at the Danny Jones Armory Complex in North Charleston, SC. The location is conveniently located near I-26, shopping, dining, and lodging options.
Admission is $5 and includes one raffle ticket. Tables are $10 in advance. Tailgating is available for $8. Breakfast and lunch will be available.
Doors open at 8:00 AM and close at 3:00 pm. Dealers will be able to set up from 5 to 9 PM Friday and after 6:30 am Saturday.
Activities include ARRL Updates, forums, door prizes, and a VE test session at 1 pm.
Talk-in is via the WA4USN linked Repeater System (146.790- No Tone Charleston, 146.940- Tone 123.0 Summerville and 147.045+ Tone 103.5 St. George). Other area repeaters are 145.450-, 146.760-, 147.180+, 147.300+, 147.345+ (tone 141.3), 443.800+, and 444.825+ (all with Tone 123.0) and 147.150+ Tone 91.5
