Museum Ships Weekend 2021

We’ll be activating Patriots Point Maritime Museum this weekend.

On Saturday the USS Yorktown will be operating as WA4USN.

On Sunday we’ll be alternating between USS Clamagore/NJ4DU and USS Laffey/NT4HI, and operating MK1 PBR #105 as WA4USN from the club trailer at the Vietnam exhibit.

More information on MSW at https://nj2bb.org/museum/index.html.

The Museum Ships web site offers starting frequencies, but due to the nature of HF you go where you need to. As a rule ships operate in the general class section of the bands, and focus on 20m and 40m SSB.

When I was there Sunday 40m was dead and we spent most of the day on 14.310MHz.

If you would like to set up a schedule, we can try to work something out.

    Tom,
I would like to join you for field day in June 26 and/or June 27 2021 if you are doing the weekend.

    Thanks

I get the cards monthly at club meetings. First batch is out, second is on my desk. I’ll check on yours when I’m in the shack. PBR-105 turned out to be pretty popular as a new entrant; thanks for your support.
