Nets

  • Sunday 8pm: Lowcountry ARES net. Joins Statewide ARES at 8:20pm. You do not need to be an ARES member, and this is a good opportunity to get familiar with the operators who will be supporting emergency events. For more information contact N8BKN.
  • Sunday 8:30pm: 2m weak signal digital net. 145.700 USB Contestia 64/1000. This is a digital mode net that reaches into Florida and North Carolina. Point your horizontally-polarized antenna toward FM02at and set Fldigi to use RSID. For more information contact AJ4UQ.
  • Tuesday 8pm: TARC 2m net. An informal directed net with rotating net controls. For more information contact K4TCP.
  • Tuesday 9pm: SKYWARN net. The band’s getting back together to practice for hurricane season and other weather events.
  • Wednesday 8pm: 2m weak signal digital net. 145.700 USB Contestia 64/1000. Same as Sunday’s net.
  • Thursday 9am: Statewide hospital practice net. This net is an opportunity for hospitals and emergency operations centers to verify equipment operation and do training. Individual check-ins are taken at the end of the net. Use the Awendaw, Wallace VHF, or Whitehall SCHEART repeaters.
  • Thursday 8pm: Newcomers net. An informal directed net that is intended to be a friendly place to learn how to be a net control. If you’d like to give it a shot, contact KK4WWV.
  • Daily 7pm: Carolina SSB net. 3.915 LSB. For more information see http://www.scssb.net/.

All nets are held on the linked repeaters unless otherwise noted.

When using the linked repeaters, wait a second after pushing the PTT button. If you start talking too soon, the repeaters will not all be ready and your first word or two will be cut off.
